To make it possible for the public to grasp the core concepts and foundations of Islam and other ideologies — clearly, and on their own terms.
A house of wisdom, again
Nearly twelve centuries ago, Baghdad's Bayt al-Hikma — the original House of Wisdom — gathered scholars to translate, study, and argue over the great ideas of its time, from philosophy to medicine to astronomy. It became a meeting point where different traditions of thought were read seriously, compared honestly, and understood before they were judged.
KEMHOW borrows that name deliberately. The task today is smaller in scale but familiar in shape: take the ideas that shape how people see the world — Islamic and otherwise — and study them with the same seriousness, in a space where reason, not volume, settles the discussion.
